I was sitting at my desk at work on Saturday evening when my cellphone rang. It was Ashley.
“Whaddya doin’?” she asked.
“Nothin’ — just working on this story,” I replied.
“Well, I just thought I’d tell you….. That Emma took FOUR steps to me today!!!”
Yes, that’s right. Emma took her first steps. What an exciting day! I wish I could have been there to see it, but I’m glad, at least, that Ashley was. We’ll try to get some video and post it here soon.
